About the Course
This introductory course teaches students the foundational skills of visual composition, camera operation, exposure control, and basic digital processing. Students will complete practical assignments through a combination of instructional videos, written guides, and hands-on practice. Evaluation is done through visual portfolios, reflection questions, and rubric-based assessments by a parent or supervising teacher.
Meet Your Instructor
Hi, I'm Tamzen, your photography instructor. I have over a decade in photography, and I started right where your student(s) are now: practicing in photography class! I completed Photography 10-30 and won the Outstanding Student award for my graduating class (so I know this course well), and have since then gone on to pursue photography professionally. I have done weddings, family portraits, pet portraits, landscapes, and am now also entering the world of food photography! I am excited to bring my expertise to you.
